On Sunday May 7th at 11am to 3pm, Abi Kilfedder and Lynda Hepburn have come up with a cunning plan.
There’s going to be a royal rumble. To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.
It’s fair to say these two have breathed new life into the SCA. At their behest you are cordially invited to the party!
First up is The Great Coronation Crown Trail. complete the trails and and return your entries to the hut where you will be judged. The lucky winner will receive a modest prize.
There’s also a Right Royal Quiz. with more prizes. And for the hungry amongst you there will be a cake competition… back by popular demand.
To help you with your own royal aspirations, you can Make a Crown. Make and wear your own royal bonnet and judging will commence at 1pm with winners revealed at 2pm.
Abi’s Artscool will also have more crafts going on, including Photo Frame Lanterns to ‘Light Up The Nation’.
We will also be joined by Toys’n’Tech, Bettysville, Fiction Wicks, Crystal Vision Apothecary, and a local young entrepreneur sweet stall.
Coronation nibbles will be served in St. Michael’s Parish Centre by their volunteers and the Cubs. Adults can even wash it down with a cheeky Pimms in the community hut afterwards.
If royal gowns are your thing there is also the chance to dress up and be photographed against a suitably regal background. There is even a return of your favourite alpacas at 12 midday.
Help us complete our 100 piece Coronation Jigsaw in the parish centre. And finally come and find out what’s going on at Bugingham Palace .
